ABOUT THERAPY WITH ME

Choosing the right therapist to embark on the journey with you is important.  There are many experienced therapists here in Fort Collins with a variety of approaches and styles, but finding the right one for you is essential.  You can read more about me, my approach and the clients I typically work with here, and if you're interested in learning more, feel free to call or email me to schedule a time to talk about the possibility of working together.

Most of the people I work with come to therapy feeling tired.  Tired of missing out on life;  tired of getting into the same situations over and over again; tired of not feeling like themselves anymore.  Most have achieved outward success or met many of their goals but still feel a deep sense of loss or lack of fulfillment inside.  Are you feeling that life is filled with stress, anxiety, or feelings of isolation and disconnection?  Are you struggling to find deeper meaning and purpose in life?  Are you ready to make a change?  I may be able to help.

A depth psychotherapy approach provides opportunities to critically reflect on your life, explore new ways of living, and become who you are truly meant to be. Therapy with me can help you:

  • Find solid ground in the midst of overwhelming emotions

  • Feel at peace with yourself and your past

  • Create healthy, loving relationships

  • Break out of cycles & make choices that support your wellbeing

  • Learn to live in the present

  • Develop agency and support your dreams

  • Find healing and process old scars

I help individuals and couples bring awareness to the underlying patterns that have long driven their reactions, behaviors, and decisions, and to face difficult feelings of fear, sadness, and anger that lie beneath the surface.  Becoming more conscious rather than acting from habit or fear allows us greater freedom.  It allows us to live in the present and to connect more deeply with ourselves and others.

Therapy with me may be a great place to start, if you are:

  • Feeling stuck

  • Questioning how you got here again

  • Seeking to find greater understanding and awareness of yourself

  • Wanting to live more intentionally or find meaning in your life

  • Striving to enhance meaningfulness in your relationships

When we want something different in life it is natural to simultaneously feel a pull toward wanting things to stay the same.  It is often easier to live in the familiar, as painful as it may be, than to act on the desire to change.  Eventually the negative thoughts, emotions and behavioral patterns we have always felt safe in, no longer serve us.  The desire to find a new way to live grows stronger than the fear of change.

I create a safe, sacred space for healing, one that allows you to face this fear, explore the depths of who you are and what you want, and help you build a life and relationships that are more satisfying.  If you're ready for a change, or want to learn more, feel free to call or email me to schedule a free, in-person consultation to determine if I may be the right therapist for you.
